January 17th, 2012 § Leave a Comment

An exhibition at Milk Tea & Pearl(London), a bubble tea shop, was held in January 2012 to celebrate Pao’s second year of life. Titled Phenomenon No.II(as a major Phenomenon happens on every birthday of Pao), the narrative was created with context of the exhibition space in mind.

Tales of Pao – June

May 27th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

I’ve had some trouble getting out the next issue of Tales of Pao due to a couple of resources issues but finally, it’s about to be finished. very likely to start distributing next week. This issue has an extra mystery element and it is only for readers who get hold of a copy of it. you know how much I like mystery and surprises ;) This issue is also different as it comprises of a series of sequential drawings(I will not label it ‘comics’) and written word. In addition, I’m looking to distribute them at new locations around London. Above are some bnw drawings which will be colored. yeh, this issue has color(and it is better quality)!
Looking forward!

A group exhibition on the theme of Utopia & Architecture. My response to this was to create a world in The Triangle where ridiculous characters inhabit and ridiculous things happen. See here for more photos.

BBird & Ruthcat–a narrative/instruction story

January 18th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

For this brief where we had to construct a balsa wood model plane and improve user experience by introducing design and communication changes to the existing instruction guide, I wrote a narrative with 2 characters and incorporated the instructions into the storyline. It is targeted at young children age 4-8 years, with adult guidance. sort of like a parent-child activity where both can read the story together and construct a plane in the process, ending up with an object and a story read.

Welcome to The (to-be) adventure of BBird.

BBird – lead character

Ruthcat – 2nd lead

BBird saw Ruthcat on TV and likes her. He wants to meet her.

He has to fly to Japan but his wings are premature so he has to build a plane to get there.

starts constructing plane according to instructions in model box he bought

construction plans

tired BBird after hours of construction

finally builds the plane and flies off to Nippon
